Listed are some of the ministries that make up the vision of POPCC:
PRAYER MINISTRY, also known as the GATEKEEPERS, is a group of people who practice scripture where it states “that men ought always to pray and not give up”. This ministry declares that the will or purpose of God be done on earth as it is in heaven.
THE SCHOOL OF MINISTRY: is to equip and train men and women to fulfill ministry for which God has called them, to hear God’s voice, to uphold the ethics and integrity of ministry and to prepare them for an effective ministry in today’s world.
THE SCHOOL OF KINGDOM BUSINESS: will encompass ministry training and “HOW TO’s” of starting and successfully running your own business. Biblical principles are used to teach men and women how to be godly and kingdom business people.
LEAD: Leaders equipped to achieve destiny is a leadership training program that stresses the importance of servant leadership with an emphasis on discipline in Spirit, mind and body. LEAD boot camps is an experience that will change any persons life. These boot camps are conducted at other churches and organizations as requested.
WOMEN OF DESTINY: is a fellowship made up of women of all ages. This group of women come together and are prepared to meet the challenges of being virtuous, mastering motherhood, education, community involvement, and coping in a world of singleness addressed.
STRONG MEN IN TOUGH TIMES (SMITT): is a fellowship of men of all ages. Men are encouraged and equipped to take their rightful place in the Kindom. They are challenged to be godly husbands, fathers and to cope with the daily pressures and temptations that all men face on a daily basis- married and single alike.
SINGLES WITH PURPOSE: we will address the issues that singles are confronted with on a daily basis that challenges the Christian lifestyle. We will provide strategies to empower them to live with purpose as a single everyday and bring Glory to God by their Godly lifestyle. Get acquainted meetings will be held frequently.
LOVE FEAST CELEBRATION: is a unique time where we come together for a meal of shared dishes. Each month has it’s own theme, ranging from “Mexican” to “Soul food”. This is a time where we have fun together and build strong relationships.
WORSHIP AND ARTS DEPARTMENT: The Worship and Arts department includes dancers, singers, musicians, and media. This department leads us into the presence of God through dance, song and all forms of worship.
YOUTH DEPARTMENT: includes our nursery; children’s ministry where the ways of God are taught to them on their level; youth groups that address how to live in this 21st century.
YOUTH LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE: will train the youth in Kingdom Leadership skills that will empower them to make an impact on their generation
HOSPITALITY DEPARTMENT: consists of addressing the needs of how to receive guests in a manner that represents the Kingdom of God. We will display excellence in every thing we do and maintain an atmosphere of love and harmony.
FOOD BANK AND BENEVOLENCE: equips our storehouse with food so that we may have an outlet to meet the needs of families in the community and the local congregation.
HOUSE OF RESTORATION: will assist those who are in transition to be restored and find, pursue and fulfill their God-given purpose. We will provide temporary housing, job interview skills, and everything that is needed to enter into the market place so that they can become productive in the community.
FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER: This ministry will be for family counsel, premarital counseling, parenting classes and all aspects of family life.
THE WELLNESS CENTER: will address the physical, nutritional and emotional needs of the individual that are required to have a healthy body. You will need this to pursue God’s purpose.
SUPER SAINTS: is for mature seniors who are interested in issues that face people approaching their senior years. This group will not be retiring, but refiring and being productive in all aspects of life.
EVANGELISM TEAMS: will spread the gospel throughout communities by sharing who Jesus Christ is and how He can change lives by bringing healing, peace, and purpose to unfulfilled lives.
