Pastor Melvin L. Bell was born and raised in Thomson, GA, a small town east of Atlanta.
He is married to Pastor Quinn (Quinndella ) A. Bell, and they have two beautiful daughters: Natasha, an attorney, and Cheri, a college freshman. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Augusta State University and a Masters degree in Theology from Jacksonville Theological Seminary. He is also a graduate of the School of Prophetic Teams, a prophetic training program directed by Life Center Ministries in Georgia. He is a Certified Prison Worker with Prison Fellowship Ministries.
Melvin is a loving husband, father, teacher, and businessman. He is co-founder and Senior Pastor of Power Of Purpose Ministries, Inc./Power Of Purpose Christian Center (POPPC), located in Decatur, Georgia. With a strong passion and desire for helping people find their God-given purpose, Pastor Melvin, in over 25 years of ministry, challenges and continues to challenge the body of Christ to destiny and to live the life that God wants for them.
Melvin has traveled throughout the United States and abroad teaching the uncompromised gospel of Jesus Christ. He hosted the radio broadcast, The Harvest is Plentiful, but the Laborers are Few, which was broadcasted throughout Georgia. Melvin and his wife, Quinn, have appeared on the Praise the Lord program on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, an international television network, and on Atlanta Alive/TV-57 in Georgia.
Melvin serves as a friend and adviser to many other pastors. He enjoys reading, martial arts, and golf.
